![]() The other method I seen was buckets, but I don't quite get how to do this one between the things about zones and dumping points and all that. ![]() How do I easily tell where the soil will be? Is it under water sources? Randomly spread around? I'm aware that I need to have the plots on muddy stone or soil and, while I embarked on a place that supposedly had a decent amount of soil, the embarkment screen is a filthy liar that wants my dwarves to starve to death(or more likely I just can't find the damn stuff). I'm well aware I should be having fun learning this stuff, but I'd prefer to understand the basics before the fun really starts. I recently started up my first real fort, after many failed attempts to get in to the game, by following a guide, but even reading the Wiki I'm having problems understanding how to start up an underground farm, or rather, exactly what I need to do, step by step and key by key.
